In a bid to expedite the resolution of a high-profile murder case, the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) has announced an increase in the reward offered for any information leading to the arrest of Lujja Bbosa Tabula.

The suspect, 38, is wanted in connection with the alleged masterminding of the shooting death of Eng Daniel Bbosa, a prominent businessman and former leader of Buganda's Ndiga clan.

Initially set at Shs10 million, the reward has now been doubled to Shs20 million as efforts to apprehend the suspect intensify.

Despite efforts to gather information from the public, authorities have yet to secure any substantial leads.

Speaking on behalf of CID, police spokesperson Fred Enanga emphasized the importance of cooperation from the public in bringing the perpetrator to justice.

"The sources obtained so far from the public have not yielded fruit," he stated.

"We also want to urge the suspect to turn himself in and defend himself."

The murder case has gripped the attention of the nation, with calls for swift and decisive action from law enforcement agencies.

Bbosa's untimely demise has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting authorities to escalate efforts to apprehend those responsible.
